RepHunter.net, operated by RepHunter, Inc., is a Minnesota-based company that provides manufacturers with experienced sales representation. We use a unique profiling system to facilitate a TARGETED SEARCH using specific criteria and our growing network of independent manufacturers’ representatives.
RepHunter.net is more COST-EFFECTIVE than placing traditional ads and wading through the resume response.
RepHunter.net was established by Matt Tronnier, an experienced sales professional, and Jeffrey Simon, an experienced financial manager and systems developer. Matt was frustrated by his own attempts to search for new opportunities, because resumes just didn’t capture the key criteria for finding good partnerships. By creating a profiling form for manufacturers and representatives, RepHunter.net can leverage the technology of databases and the Internet to bring manufacturers the qualified sales representatives they need, without the resume reviewing hassle.
Our clients confirm the quality of our referrals and tell us that the candidates that we place are more productive and able to hit the ground running precisely because of their established customer base.
I am a member of your service searching for a representative for my aluminum composite product lines. I would also like to see if my company can find other products such as sealant-caulking, air/vapor barriers, expanded aluminum etc. How do I begin? Do I need a different email address etc? Thanks

Hello, My name is Billy Tabor and I want to know more about your service. I am seeking sales reps in the healthcare industry to sell my service to LTC, SNF and others. How do I sign up with your service and what are your fees. I already have customers in nine states and an have no representatives. Thanks
The best way to get started in general is to visit https://www.rephunter.net, create a free profile and use it to “try before you buy”.
This means that you can post your sales opportunity, search for reps with the powerful searching features available to you after you have created your profile, receive inquiries from interested reps, monitor the contacts you have made, and many other features.
However, you will not be able to contact any reps because no contact information is provided.
The purpose of this “dry run” is to see how the service works, and to see that we have qualified reps in your industry seeking new lines. After having done this, you can subscribe and contact reps.
We suggest that you create a free profile, then search for reps using the “By Keyword” search, using the Advanced Search. You can see at no cost if we have the reps you need.
In addition, I will have one of our staff contact you by email to help you get started.
How long do reps continue collecting from a single account? We have an 11 year account; do the reps continue to receive a commission until the account closes? Does their commission reduce from the original %?
You should realize that a good rep can make you a lot of money, if the rep is properly motivated. It is typical for it to take a long time for a rep to create a channel for your product, so that rep could see between 6 months to a year if you are not an already well-established business. What would motivate the rep to put in such a large amount of uncompensated effort? Residual income!
So the continuation of future sales is how the rep is often compensated for his up-front effort. Even if it seems that the rep “did nothing” in connection with repeat business. Just as the principal wants to “earn a living”, so the rep is worthy of his labors.
In many cases the rep continues to be more involved than the principal thinks in building a relationship with the customer. If the rep is cut off from residual income, why should this happen?
Regarding reduction of commission: in general this is not a good idea, but there are cases where it makes sense.

I am in startup phase with a new product. Though people are buying my product. I am more of a tech than a sales rep. I am looking for one excellent exp’d sales rep with distinct qualities.
If I find that excellent sales rep. They will have an opportunity to own part of the company they are selling product(s) for.
Where can I go to post a bunch of questions that interested sales reps would answer. I am looking for a Jeffery Gitomer battle class sales rep. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.
While any reader can respond to your inquiry in this blog, because it is a blog people don’t tend to respond to each other much. We are considering creating a forum website, which would be exactly what you are looking for, as a forum is entirely such conversations.
In the meantime, if you have not already checked out RepHunter at http://www.rephunter.com, please do so. Our website does not give you the opportunity to post questions, as you are wanting, but you would be able to search for free to see what reps we have in your industry actively seeking new lines.
@Tim: I would add that it would be advisable to include in your Sales Representation Agreement some language that makes clear which market the rep is restricted to, so as to prevent later conflict.
@Tim: from Brenda:
Absolutely you can have multiple reps that are in the same geography. Because as you already noted – these reps are calling on different markets within that geography – their exact clients would be different.
I am looking at using independent sales reps for my company’s line of apparel. The question that I have is that am interested in several market segments. One being childre/kids clothing store an the other being the resort market for all ages. Here is my question, I have found few reps that cover both youth/kids apparel stores and cater to the resort market in any given geographic territory. Can I enter into rep agreements in the same geographic market with a rep to focus on youth/kid retail stores and a different rep to focus on the resort reail market?
